Scottish Property Centre: A Year of Giving Back to Our Communities

At Scottish Property Centre, we believe in more than just property; we believe in being actively involved in the communities we serve. Discover how our commitment to local charities and community groups has made a real difference this year.

As the year draws to a close, we at Scottish Property Centre are incredibly proud to reflect on our charity and community work over 2025. Our dedication extends beyond helping you buy, sell, or let property; it's about investing in the vibrant communities we serve.

We firmly believe that a strong community is the foundation of a thriving property market, and we've been delighted to support numerous causes close to our hearts.

Charity of the Year: Doing it for Daniel Foundation

This year, we were particularly honoured to name the Doing it for Daniel Foundation as our charity of the year partner.

This incredible organisation does vital work for children and young adults with cancer, and we are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our staff, clients, friends and local partners, we raised £6,030 for their cause.

Our fundraising efforts for Doing it for Daniel Foundation were primarily driven by two fantastic events: our charity raffle and fundraising night, which took place at the wonderful Orchard Park Hotel in Giffnock,

and our annual Charity Golf Day held at Cowglen Golf Club. Both events saw tremendous support and were instrumental in reaching our fundraising goal, helping towards the Foundation to continue its crucial work.

We were delighted to receive the following message of appreciation from Daniel’s parent’s -

“Greg, Craig and Paul decided at the beginning of 2025 to nominate our precious Charity in order to raise funds for our causes and help us achieve our objectives. I would like to sincerely thank everyone at the Scottish Property Centre for their kindness and all their hard work in the two fantastic events and fundraisers they put so much hard work into. The amount raised was over £6,000, which is an incredible figure.

We realise that there are so many charities to choose from, with all of them having very worthwhile causes, so we are extremely grateful that Greg, Craig and Paul chose ours.

Many thanks indeed.

Brian and Alison Caplan.”

Doing it for Daniel Foundation is a Scottish charity in memory of Daniel Caplan who died of brain cancer aged 17. The charity supports children and young adults with cancer by providing grants, gifts & holidays at Daniel’s Beach House in Ayr. The charity also funds brain tumour research. Brain cancer is the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40.

Supporting Vital Charities Across Glasgow and Argyll

Beyond our headline charity, our teams have been actively involved in fundraising and supporting several other remarkable charities and local clubs. We've seen incredible generosity from our staff, contributing to causes that make a tangible difference to people's lives. We are particularly proud of our contributions to:

Home-Start Glasgow South: This wonderful charity offers family support that helps to give young children the best possible start in life. We were delighted to partner with them for their Secret Santa initiative. Their fundraising efforts allow them to provide over 300 families in the southside of Glasgow, that they support, with a gift to open on Christmas day.

Pollok Football Club: We continued our sponsorship of the Pollok FC YouTube channel for a 2nd season. It's an honour to be involved with and support such an iconic Southside institution!

You can view all the goals, highlights and interviews from every Pollok match throughout the season by subscribing to the Pollok FC YouTube channel.

Stay Fresh Music Festival: We sponsored The Stay Fresh Music Festival, a charity music festival in Dunoon with monies raised by the Festival supporting local charities and musicians.

Shawlands Academy: After being approached by Mr Downie at Shawlands Academy, we were delighted to fund brand new kits for the school football team, particularly as our Director, Craig Smith is a former pupil of the school!

Battlefield Primary School: Another former school of Craig’s, we were proud to get involved and donate towards the school playground project.

Cowal Highland Gathering:  We were a business sponsor of Cowal Highland Gathering in August, the biggest event in Dunoon. Chieftains this year were Sean Batty and Laura Boyd.

Giffnock North Amateur Football Club: We were delighted to continue our advertising board sponsorship for another season.

Hillwood Boys Club: We sponsored the 2015’s boys football team home kit.

Cash For Kids: Isla Macsween from our factoring service, 7Days.property, raised £1,125 to support Cash for Kids Mission Christmas.
